Manager, Customer Support and Inside Sales

Lead a department of 5 supporting all aspects of inside sales, customer service, technical support, export compliance, order booking, and customer satisfaction. Delegate tasks and customers amongst the team and provide in depth support as needed for all customers and potential customers of the organization.

Identify areas of improvement driving operational efficiencies and ways to better serve our customers. Derived solutions that I then implemented and tested to validate the improvement. Removed several redundant forms and data points being documented which removing about 40 mins of work per day per team member.

Apply industry knowledge to sales management for the company developing new customer relationships and identifying new sales opportunities like SBIR program and e-commerce platforms like Fedmall and ILSmart that could recapture lost business and increase value to the customers resulting in $5M in additional sales per year.

Business Development and Customer Support Specialist - Military Sales

Led the development of a new division specifically focusing on research, development and sales for military aircraft spare parts and repairs. Program started with the KC-135 aircraft F108 military derivative CFM56 engine components. Was tasked with market sizing, new product identification, providing data analysis, technical writings, marketing packages, needs requirements, customer support services, as well as product and process improvements covering all parts of the product lifecycle all in collaboration with multi-site corporate subsidiaries. 

Other platforms and products included C-130 Cabin Components, F-16 Hydraulic Pistons, CH-47 and P-8 Batteries, XH-60 Wiring Harnesses as well as multiplatform hardware and oxygen components. Program realized approximately $7M/yr. in sales from new product development.

Incorporated new business capture logic discovering new project opportunities for pumps and latches resulting in $2M in new projects annually and $10M in additional potential sales for products that would have been otherwise overlooked or mischaracterized by the data set. This new business resulted in 20% increase in division new parts sales and $1.5M in new savings opportunities for customers.

Utilizing continuous improvement workflow tools, developed more integrated documents and documentation methods that would automate some source approval request components. This reduced internal workload, expedited turn times on projects by several weeks and ensured the accuracy and traceability of source data.

Designed and maintained the internal project SQL database structure, workflow, and documents in MS-Access for front end project tracking to find new opportunities, compare potential or past competitors, track project progress, prioritize tasks, and supply weekly status reports increasing the capacity of initial new product reviews from 20/week to 100/week.

Responsible for all military direct sales and all commercial MRO sales customers accounting for $12 million in sales annually across 40 different customers. . Instrumental in instilling confidence in our technical capabilities to new customers and amassing larger market share for aftermarket sales of parts and repairs.

Products include LCD panels Displays, Chronometers, etc. across multiple platforms including A320’s, 737NG and classics, 747, Dash8. As well as motors and resolvers in instruments like the Jarvik Artificial Heart, the APKWS guided missiles, and XH-60 Helicopters and panels

FAA Parts Manufactured Approval (PMA) program initiator opening the company's products and capabilities to a new market segment. Researched requirements developed written processes, procedures, training, and templates as well as submitting and managing all PMA engineering projects start to finish.

Product Engineering designing new electromechanical components, supported multidisciplinary design reviews, and manufacturing design changes on existing products.

Quality and Engineering Intern- 6-Sigma Process Improvement

Utilizing continuous process improvement methodologies like those in Lean/ACE/6-Sigma, I implemented  statistical process control studies for over 140 different processes. These were integrated into daily operating instructions and resulted in reduced inspections and  allowing for quicker repair turn times by as much as 10%.
